Manager Programmatic Solutions

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Programmatic Specialist working with Austria’s leading PPC Automation Company. We are looking to build up our products in the UK and have identified a role for a talented person who can lead our product strategy for programmatic advertising. This role will connect with key retail clients and partner stakeholders in the wider display and RTB/programmatic eco-system in the UK. We are looking for an inspirational market specialist with a proven track record to lead up the Programmatic division. In close cooperation with our business units and in alignment with existing clients you will be responsible for establishing a programmatic strategy for smec in the UK and related markets. In this position you will report directly to the smec headquarter in Linz, Austria.

Your tasks

  • You are responsible for the conception and establishment of the business unit Programmatic at smec.
  • You lead our proposals for all major new business initiatives, isolating winning programmatic strategies that will differentiate us from competitors.
  • As programmatic visionary you act for the wider business, with the ultimate goal to increase revenue and share of this channel.
  • You will ensure smooth programmatic campaign delivery and are in charge of the setup, monitoring and optimization of programmatic deals.
  • You will maintain and build relationships with key media and technology partners and serve existing clients in the UK.
  • As an essential link between our departments you will update them regularly with latest market information.
  • You will have a supporting role in delivering annual channel forecasts in line with our planning team.
  • You work closely with media and tech community to capture changes in the programmatic ecosystem, identify those which will impact our clients and future proof our product output. You will lead and develop relationships with colleagues in Austria to ensure the smec product stack is developing in line with agreed expectations.
  • You will execute competitor and market analyses derive adequate measures to meet market conditions with our strategy

Your profile

  • Experience within an international media agency environment with deep knowledge and contacts within digital performance, namely programmatic
  • Experience of working with multiple technology platforms, DSPs, verification tools,  analytics etc.
  • Experience gained with media owners or in a role that build strong relationships with media owners.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a sales-environment, where you have built relationships from scratch with new and existing customers and converted those relationships into significant sales
  • Commercially minded, you understand the practical delivery of services in line with client objectives, service level agreements and terms of business.
  • The ability to motivate and train individuals, and be a key stakeholder in people development
  • Pre-empts issues and pro-actively produces solutions which engage all stakeholders.
  • Able to work under pressure and adapt the plan, on multiple tasks and with time critical deadlines
  • Willingness to travel to Austria, visit clients and attend events in other European countries.
  • Strong analytical skills and performance-oriented approach
  • Excellent communication skills and German language skills would be beneficial
