Product Architect/Software Developer (m|f|d)

Linz, Vienna, full-time

As Product Architect you are responsible for developing one of our new products and its further optimisation – speaking of our Retail Hub that plays a central role in connecting data and solutions. You translate business requirements into plan- and actionable work items, align closely with our Product Owners and ensure that our clients see value in it.

Your tasks

  • You are part of our agile team and key driver in developing the architecture and finding new solution pathways.
  • You reach a deep understanding regarding architecture and technical components of our Retail Hub.
  • You align the roadmap with Product Owners ensuring cross-department collaboration.
  • You consult our Product team with professional expertise and methods providing technical solution alternatives and assessing requirements through professional analysis.
  • You ensure communication among stakeholders regarding technical details and support us in solving challenging use cases.
  • You provide our Product Owner with relevant know-how regarding technical aspects of our backlog and make sure that user stories are meaningful from a technical point of view.
  • You code actively together with your team and realise features for our Retail Hub from design to market.
  • You align regularly with other product architects in regards to integrating further solutions.

Your profile

  • You successfully completed your education - preferably in the field of computer science, software development or similar.
  • You have already worked as a software developer for more than 5 years with 3+ years in software architecture.
  • You have an expertise in JVM-based systems (Java, Groovy, Scala etc.).
  • You truly understand streaming-based and data-intensive software systems and all related development as well as implementation processes.
  • You have experience with cloud providers such as the Google Cloud Platform and cloud-native technologies such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, Kustomize etc.
  • You are also interested in the business side of our Retail Hub and professional product management.
  • You are decisive and outcome-oriented looking forward to joining a highly motivated international team.
  • You enjoy an agile and project-oriented approach to working and are eager to contribute.
  • You have a business fluent command of English.

Technologies we use

Our software is primarily running on Google Cloud and Kubernetes. Keeping track with the latest developments, we use state-of-the-art tools such as Terraform, Kustomize, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, MySql, Postgres, GitLab, TeamCity and other services based on Google Cloud. For our applications, we rely on Scala, Cloudflow, Java, Typescript, Groovy, Node, MySql, Akka, Spring Boot, Gradle, Spock Framework, Angular, GraphQL and more.

For legal reasons, we refer to the collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 3,094 (14 x per year) for this position. The actual salary depends on your qualification and experience, a willingness to overpay is given.
