Sales Developer

As a Sales Developer you are a crucial part of our lead generation process regarding our growth strategy. Being highly empowered and massively supported by our Sales team, you will receive a structured onboarding program and in-depth product knowledge, as you are going to collaborate with the biggest online retailers.

Your tasks

  • You are responsible to contact, qualify and deliver targeted prospect meetings from tier A and tier B merchants, reporting directly to the respective Sales Manager, Team lead or Head of the department.
  • You conduct a focused and tailor-made outreach to gather intelligence on merchants who are good candidates for smec products in a given market. 
  • You create individual lead baits by teaming up with highly specialised Online Marketing Managers.
  • You are responsible for the initial penetration of target companies through direct contact with the buyer or buying team – using personal communications, CRM tools, company insights and social selling.
  • You discover all relevant information layers of the target company by conducting a dedicated discovery outreach.
  • You fully understand the needs, pains and growth potentials in order to prepare and qualify leads for the next stage in the sales funnel.
  • You have comprehensive product know-how and are able to create deep engagement with leads by highlighting the core value propositions of smec.

Your profile

  • You have an academic degree (BA/MA) in Economics, Marketing, Sales, or similar.
  • You have at least two years of working experience or a proven track record of success – demonstrating that you have created meaningful change for you and the benefit of your company.
  • You have excellent communication and negotiation skills, both in German and English.
  • You love to create new business opportunities and gather business intelligence data.
  • You are capable of reacting fast, coping with unexpected situations and defending your point of view.
  • You feel joy and passion when you engage with business partners and potential clients.

We are offering an attractive salary for this position commensurate with your qualifications and experience. We are legally obligated to inform you that, under the collective agreement, a minimum gross salary of EUR 2,461 per month applies.
